Biography
Thierry Simon is the Global Head of the International Trade and Transaction Banking Division of the Bank with teams based in 30 countries. Thierry seats on the boards of the engineering company Systra, Indosuez Private Banking Switzerland, ODAS SA, the French-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Web Start-up SILAB. He is Counselor of the French Government for Exports, mentor at the NYU Wasserman Center and teaches at HEC Paris. Thierry brings a 25-year track record in International Investment Banking management with a special expertise in Real Estate and in the American and Middle East zones. From 2005 to 2011, he was based in New York as CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB Americas and of Crédit Agricole Securities Inc. Thierry joined Credit Lyonnais in 1985. He held different positions in charge of Client Coverage and as Country Head in Scotland, London and Denmark. He also managed the Corporate Central Branch in Paris, set up the Financial Institutions Group and run the Structured Finance Real Estate and Lodging Group of the Bank. Thierry Simon is a graduate of the Executive MBA from HEC, of Ecole Centrale in France and of the INSEAD Top Leaders Program. He is a Certified Independent Director by Sciences Po/IFA and by the Luxembourg Institute of Directors. He is married and has four children. Thierry volunteers in organizations dedicated to Education, students mentoring and intercultural awareness.
