Biography
Dr. Gonzalez has strong technical competence in animal surgery, in vivo imaging, electrophysiology and behavioral tests, and solid experience in managing research and development projects. Before joining CILcare, he worked for three years in the molecular and cellular mechanism of peripheral nervous system degeneration and regeneration, and taught Cellular Biology and Biochemistry in the University of Montpellier and Barcelona. Sergio holds a Ph. D in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Barcelona, Spain, in the field of neuronal receptors and neurodegenerative diseases. He performed a post-doc at the Institute for Neurosciences of Montpellier, and received a certificate in Rodent Experimental Surgery at Montpellier University, France. He is the author of several international publications and holds a patent.
