Biography
Bob Huret is a founder and Managing Member of FTV Capital, a global private equity firm that invests in software and business services companies focused on the financial services industry. FTV Capital is a $1.1 billion fund whose limited partners are many of the world’s largest financial institutions. He has been listed in Institutional Investor’s Top 40 list of influential leaders in the financial technology field since its inception in 1999. He serves on the boards of Bank of Hawaii Corp., Financial Engines Inc., Caplin Systems Ltd. (London), and Cloudmark and he is a past trustee of Cornell University. Prior to forming FTV Capital in 1998, he was an independent consultant to Montgomery Securities where he did over 100 mergers and acquisitions and public offerings for commercial banks. Concurrently, he was Chairman of Huret, Rothenberg and Co., a merchant bank in San Francisco. He was a founder and Vice Chairman of Newell Associates, a money management firm from 1986-2003. From 1996 to 2001, he was a founder and director of Third Age Media, Inc. From 1976 to 1984, Bob was Senior Vice President-Finance and Trust Executive Office of BanCal Tri-State Corporation until it was acquired by Mitsubishi Bank. He joined First Chicago Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase) in 1968 and served there in a variety of roles, including Vice President, Strategic Planning until 1976. Bob has an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a BS from Cornell University in Industrial and Labor Relations.
