Biography
His PhD work involves using adaptive optics to improve single molecule localization (SML) imaging techniques like PALM and STORM. Notable applications involve using the adaptive optics system to apply a pure astigmatism for enhanced 3D imaging at the coverslip, as well as to correct sample aberrations and enable SML imaging away from the coverslip in more complex media.
