Biography
He is a neurologist. He is currently working in group whose aims are to propose biochemical and radiopharmaceutical assays as brain biomarkers: • to visualize and quantify pathophysiological targets in animal models and to contribute to transfer to patients; • to propose innovative strategies to facilitate differential and early diagnostics; • to accelerate the process from preclinical discovery to clinical phases. Methods & Techniques Molecular imaging: PET radiopharmacology and radiopharmacy, in vitro and in vivo animal imaging, neuropharmacology Analytical neurochemistry and clinical biochemistry Brain anatomopathology Research projects 1. Receptors involved in cognition: - New targets: serotonin 5-HT6, 5-HT7 receptors: from radiotracers to clinical phase I studies - Functional 5-HT1A receptors: ligand/receptor interactions, functional mapping, endogenous 5-HT competition 2. Aggregated proteins involved in cognition: - Biochemical and PET detection of α-synuclein - Mechanisms of protein propagation
