Biography

 He is a neurologist and aim to increase our understanding of the genetic basis of neurodevelopmental disorders, hence contributing to the development of new therapeutic strategies. The role of neuroscience in a wide range of neurological disorders is discussed. Methods & Techniques Formal genetics, clinical genetics, cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Various combinations of up-to-date technologies, including array CGH, linkage analysis, association studies, exome sequencing panel, whole exome / genome / transcriptome sequencing and bioinformatics studies Research projects - Gene identification in childhood epilepsy syndromes; - Breakpoint cloning in patients presenting intellectual disability and apparently balanced chromosomal rearrangements; - Molecular basis of microcephalic dwarfism syndromes.
