Biography
Senior researcher Patrick Nédellec holds a PhD in experimental medicine from McGill University (Canada). He began his career as a CNRS researcher at the pharmaceutical science faculty of Paris Descartes University. In 1999, he joined the Laboratoire Cytosquelette et Développement (CNRS/UPMC/CHU Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital) to study a specific form of muscular dystrophy. He then became higher education and scientific cooperation attaché at the French Embassy in Copenhagen (Denmark) and, from 2007, science and technology attaché at the French Embassy in Beijing (China). In January 2011, he took charge of the CNRS office in China. Two and a half years later, in October 2013, he was appointed head of the European Research and International Cooperation Department.
