Biography
Julia DESCHAMP completed her graduate studies at the University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC, Paris). Julia DESCHAMP then pursued a thesis at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) under the direction of Professor Olivier RIANT. In 2008, Julia DESCHAMP obtained her doctorate on the development of a domino reaction of reduction-aldolisation catalyzed by a chiral copper (I) complex. She then pursued a teaching and research assistant position at the Paris Institute of Molecular Chemistry (UMR CNRS 7201, UPMC, Paris) in the team of Professor Matthieu Sollogoub. Julia DESCHAMP then carried out two post-doctoral internships at first, at the Institute of Molecular Chemistry and Materials of Orsay in the team of Dr. Emmanuelle Schulz (UMR CNRS 8182, University Paris-Sud, Orsay), then at the Institute of Natural Substances in the team of Professor Jean-Marie BEAU (UPR CNRS 2301, Gif-sur-Yvette). In 2011, Julia DESCHAMP was appointed Associate Professor at the University Paris 13 in the Laboratory of Chemistry, Structures and Biological Properties of Therapeutic Agents (UMR CNRS 7244) led by Professor Véronique MIGONNEY, in the team of Professor Marc LECOUVEY. His area of expertise is organic synthesis and asymmetric catalysis.
