Biography
After completing her undergraduate studies in material sciences at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris, Nathalie Lidgi-Guigui followed her interest in nanotechnologies by enrolling in a doctoral program at the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS Thales where she developed her field of expertise in nanoparticles under the supervision of A. Friederich, F. Nguyen Van Dau and P. Seneor. After obtaining her Ph. D. on the growth and electrical properties of metallic nanoparticles in 2005, she joined the team of Prof. R. Palmer at the University of Birmingham where she study the growth and deposition of size selected clusters and there interaction with proteins. The skills she developed in liquid phase AFM were valued through her second post-doc at the University of Evry under the supervision of S. Labdi and P. Curmi. Since 2010 she is assistant professor at the University of Paris 13 in the team of Prof. M. Lamy de la Chapelle. There, she has used and developed original lithographies techniques to fabricate large assembly of organized nanostructures for SERS based highly sensitive sensors. Nathalie Lidgi-Guigui also is an enthusiastic teacher. She has developed a focus group for higher education teachers where they can meet and discuss about issues in their teaching activities and the innovative answers they can bring. She is testing some new concepts in her teaching such as the flipped classroom or the use of games in teaching.
