Biography
Dr. Woodward received his bachelor's degree in Biology in 1999 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He received his master's in Plant Pathology in 2002 from Oklahoma State University and his doctorate in Plant Pathology from the University of Georgia in 2006.Dr. Woodward joined the Texas Tech faculty in 2006 and is currently a Professor of Plant Pathology. He holds a joint appointment between Texas Tech University (25%), and the Texas AgriLife Extension (75%). His responsibilities at Tech include teaching Agricultural Plant Pathology, Advanced Plant Pathology, and a Graduate level course in Plant Disease Management, as well as advising graduate students. Within Texas Cooperative Extension, Dr. Woodward serves as an Extension Pathologist focusing primarily on diseases of peanut and cotton.
Research Interest
Dr. Woodward's research interests include the development of integrated disease management strategies, evaluating the efficacy of fungicides, management of fungicide resistance, plant disease epidemiology, and plant disease diagnosis.
