Biography
Prior to EAG, Siddhartha served as the President of the Life Sciences Division of Life Technologies Corporation where he was responsible for worldwide P&L of a $2B of portfolio, which included many differentiated technologies, including proprietary reagents franchises and a bioproduction business. Industry leading brands including Invitrogen, GIBCO, Dynal, Ambion, Molecular Probes and Novex were part of this portfolio. Previously, Siddhartha served in various executive roles at Life Technologies, including President , Life Technologies Greater China (2011-2013), President, Life Technologies Japan Ltd. (2009-2011) and Chief Marketing Officer (2008-2009). He also served on the Board for Life Technologies Foundation and on the Board of Life Technologies DaAn Diagnostics, a China-based joint venture he established. From July 2005 to July 2008, he served in numerous roles at Invitrogen Corporation, including Vice President, Global Marketing and eBusiness. Invitrogen merged with Applied Biosystems, Inc. in 2008 to form Life Technologies. Before joining Invitrogen, Siddhartha C. Kadia was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where his work focused on healthcare related engagements: assisting medical device companies from the US and Europe in developing strategic direction and improving earnings, advising local and state governments in the U.S. on healthcare spend effectiveness, and consulting with medium and large U.S. healthcare providers in improving profitability. Siddhartha was a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he conducted research in neuroscience and was awarded the David Israel Macht Award for Excellence in Research. Siddhartha holds a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, a Masters of biomedical engineering from Rutgers University and a B.E. in electronics and telecommunications from Gujarat University in India. Siddhartha served on the board of directors of Newport Corporation, a leading global supplier of advanced technology products and solutions for scientific research, life & health science, aerospace & defense, photovoltaics, industrial manufacturing, semiconductors, and microelectronics markets. Newport Corporation became part of MKS Industries in April, 2016. Siddhartha previously served on the board of directors of Volcano Corporation, a medical technology company that was sold to Royal Philips in February 2015.
