Biography
Dipl.-Phys. Carsten Petersdorff (1970) is Director at Ecofys, a Navigant Company. In his function he assists corporate clients, associations and governments to develop strategies for implementation that meet the needs of the future urban energy system. After his graduation he worked at the University of Aachen before joining Ecofys in 1998. Initially Carsten was responsible for activities in the built environment in Germany, before becoming Managing Director of Ecofys Germany GmbH in 2006. Over the following years, he held several management positions within Ecofys. He has more than 20 years of expertise in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Due to his involvement in projects throughout Europe, Maghreb, Mashreq and the Middle East, Carsten Petersdorff is an expert in energy solutions in different climates and cultures. In his spare time he enjoys playing badminton and is a passionate cook.
