Biography
Joris de Groot is Managing Director at Ecofys, a Navigant Company. Before joining Ecofys in 2014, he gathered broad management consulting experience at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked for over 8 years. During his time at BCG, Joris was a core member of the energy and industrial goods practice areas. He serves manufacturing companies, the chemical industry, utilities, DSOs, as well as financial institutions in a broad range of topics, including strategy development, business transformation and operational excellence. Joris holds a double MSc degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, in Applied Physics (solar cells) as well Technology and Innovation Policy, the latter with a focus on developing countries and sustainable energy. In 2009, he graduated with honours from Kellogg School of Management (MBA) in Chicago, Illinois, with majors in Strategy and Finance. Joris is excited to help shaping a joint sustainable energy future!
