Biography
Professor at the University Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris 6 - Senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France - Co-leader of the Quantum Optics group of the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel - President of the Société Française d’Optique(2009-2011) - Fellow of the Optical Society of America OSA and of the European Optical Society EOS - Editor in chief of the review “European Physical Journal D” (2008-2012) “Charge de mission” at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (2013-2017)
Research Interest
My research deals mainly with the quantum properties of light, especially in the regime of “intense light”, also called “continuous variable regime”, when the flux of photons is such that they cannot be counted individually. One is then interested more in the study of the quantum fluctuations of the electromagnetic field of the light wave.
