Biography
Emmanuel Baudin is a lecturer at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. Former student of the Ecole Normale, he completed his thesis in the group "Quantum Fluids and Helium Hyperpolarized" Laboratory Kastler Brossel (ENS - UPMC), under the direction of Pierre-Jean Nacher, on the NMR nonlinear mixtures superfluids of hyperpolarized He3-He4 . After a post-doctorate at the Laboratory of Photonics and Nanostructures (CNRS - Marcoussis) where he carried out resonance spectroscopy studies of magnetic quantum dots with Olivier Krebs and Paul Voisin, he joined the ENS as Senior Lecturer in 2012 to work in the group of coherent optics and nonlinearon the properties of non-linear optics of semiconductor microcavities . Since 2016, he has been developing a new activity at the Pierre Aigrain laboratory around the exploration of optical and opto-electronic properties of heterostructures of two-dimensional materials such as transition metal dichalcogenides. He is currently co-head of the ENS Physics Department's Colloquium .
