Research Interest
My research works are in sociology of work and social stratification and sociology of education. In the field of work and social stratification, I participate in a research program aimed at studying the way in which ordinary individuals and statistical institutions categorize the social world in Europe. In the field of education, I have been developing for fifteen years a sociological approach to the transmission of knowledge. I study in particular the changes in the professional group of teachers, teaching practices and their effects on learning as well as the challenges of defining teaching content.
