Biography
I am a researcher at the CNRS and a member of the CESSP since 2012. My research mainly concerns two themes: a main theme, that of childhood, understood as a moment of sociogenesis of practices, structured by institutions and strategies of reproduction; a secondary theme, that of medicalization, the appropriation of clinical knowledge in society, particularly in the field of mental health. From a work associating historicization, quantification, interviews and observations, my thesis (University Paris 7, 2010) focused on the psychological identification of the so-called "gifted" children in France, considered in relation with the structure of the school system and the psychic care market, with the educational dispositions and interests of the parents, and finally with the practices of the children themselves. Afterwards, with the Collectif Eleven, I worked, as part of a large collective survey of several French courts, on the future of children and reproductive strategies when there is separation of parents. With Julie Pagis, I was interested in childish perceptions of the socio-political order, based on a survey conducted in two elementary schools in Paris. Since 2015, I have been working, firstly, on the emergence conditions of clinical psychology, based on a survey conducted in Kenya; and on the other hand, from ethnographic observations in nursery, on the appropriation of the material world by young children (2-3 years). on the future of children and reproductive strategies when there is separation of parents.
