Biography
Mandana Covindassamy, a former student at ENS, an associate of German, a doctor of Germanic studies, is a lecturer in German literature at the LILA department and a member of UMR 8547 Germanic countries. She teaches Germanic literature and literary theory as well as translation. Appointed to the ENS in 2012, she was previously a lecturer at the University of Nantes from 2008 to 2012. She is a member of the Society for Germanic Studies, Robert-Walser-Gesellschaft and Goethe-Gesellschaft in Weimar and AGES (Association of Germanists of Higher Education). She is also a member of the 12th section of the CNU.
Research Interest
His research focuses on the spatiality of text (link between text and image, impact of typography, cohabitation of alphabets, cartographic reading) and the question of representation. His publications include WG Sebald, Robert Walser, Alexander Kluge and the reception of Persian poetry in the German-speaking world.
