Bernard Zovighian

Biography

Bernard J. Zovighian has been corporate vice president since January 2016 and is currently responsible for the company’s global surgical valve business. He joined Edwards in January 2015 as vice president and general manager for the surgical heart valve business. Prior to joining Edwards Lifesciences, Zovighian held a variety of roles with increasing levels of responsibility at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) for nearly 20 years. He served as the worldwide president of Advanced Sterilization Products, a J&J company. He was also president of JJMP, J&J’s medical device businesses in Canada. Prior to leading JJMP, Bernard was with Cordis, a J&J company at the time, for over a decade. Zovighian has extensive senior leadership experience in the medical device industry in Europe and North America. He has held roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, business development, general management and commercial introduction and adoption of disruptive technology that has elevated the standard of care. Zovighian was born and educated in France, earning a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from University of Marseille and an executive MBA from Euromed Management.
