Biography
Prof. Yeming (Yale) Gong studies the interface between operations management and information systems. He has published two books “Stochastic Modelling and Analysis of Warehouse Operations” in Erasmus and “Global Operations Strategy: Fundamentals and Practice” in Springer. He published 41 articles in journals like Production and Operations Management, IIE Transaction, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Prof. Gong received "2010 the Best Paper Award in Design and Manufacturing" from IIE, and "Erasmus Scholarship for Teaching" from European Union. He is advising 9 PhD students, and 8 of his PhD students have graduated. He is an overseas principal investigator (PI) of NSFC "National Key Project" ( Big data-driven logistics systems). He is an overseas co-PI of NSSF "National Major Project" ( "IT- Enable Intelligent Manufacturing Strategy").
