David COURPASSON PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY Strategy and organization Research in Social Sciences requests genuine and passionate commitment in understanding peoples’ lives at work. How do new organizations influence those lives ? What are the mechanisms through which people cope with constraints and contradictions generated by new rules of/in the workplace? Do new forms of productive collective solidarities emerge in contemporary organizations? To serve which productive ethos? What are the effects of online communication on social relationships? Do social struggles have a future in “liberal” organizations, and to produce what sort of social change? These are some of the issues that I address in my research, and that I discuss in my teaching.
