Biography

Patrick Leoni is a Professor of Finance at Euromed Management (Marseille, France). He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 2003, and he held research positions in Zurich, Venice and Dublin. His research mostly focuses on designing and pricing new classes of derivatives, with a strong emphasis on health economics. He has been involved in the last few years in projects related to HIV/ AIDS economic policies, and the design of derivatives to hedge against mortality risk. He wrote two books including “Economic challenges in the Fight against HIV/AIDS,” he has over 25 publications in leading journals in Finance and Economics, and he is at the editorial board of four scholastic journals.
