Henry R. Appelbaum

Biography

Henry R. Appelbaum, Chip has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Novian Health Inc., since February 2005. Mr. Appelbaum joined Novian Health in 2004 and has over 25 years of experience in various business development, marketing and sales, and science management positions. Previously, Mr. Appelbaum served as a Vice President of Corporate Development at Source Precision Medicine and was responsible for business development, strategic alliances and legal activities (Source was a startup he helped found to develop gene expression based diagnostics for drug development and patient care). Prior to joining Source in 1998, Mr. Appelbaum had been 9 years at Amgen where he served in various marketing and business development roles, including leader of the Infergen® Launch Team. From 1987 to 1989, he served in a technology transfer role at Argonne National Laboratory. He serves as a Director of Novian Health Inc. From 1980 to 1987, he conducted contract research for industry and government clients at Battelle. Mr. Appelbaum holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an S.M. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Rochester.
