Biography
Isabelle Muller is Director General of the French Union of Petroleum Industries (UFIP) since October 2012. She was Secretary General of the European Association of Petroleum Industry (EUROPIA, renamed Fuels Europe in 2014) since 2007. She has an extensive international experience in the oil industry: refining operations, R&D for upstream and downstream, product and business development, HSE, governmental and public affairs. Within the French energy major Total since 1981, she held senior international positions in the economic and technical management of industrial sites and supply chain , in downstream business development , in Research and Development and in public affairs. Isabelle Muller is member of the Board of Axens since 2011, and of the Board of Heurtey Petrochem since 2015. She is a member of the French Council for Energy Transition (CNTE) and chairs the Environment Committee of the French Business Confederation (MEDEF). Isabelle Muller holds degrees from Ecole Centrale de Paris (Engineering, 1978) and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Political science, 1983), and a Master’s degree from Cornell University (NY, USA, 1981).
