Biography
Charles E. Nakamura received a PhD in Biochemistry from Brandeis University in 1986. In 2007, he received the American Chemical Heroes in Chemistry Society for its key contribution to the development of the bioproduction process for 1,3-propanediol at DuPont. He directed the generation of industrial strains and the development of fermentation processes. Prior to joining Global Bioenergies, Charles E. Nakamura was responsible for DuPont's biobutanol research program.
