Biography
Tristan Euzen holds a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Rennes (France) and is a Professional Geologist with over 20 years of experience. During 10 years as a Research Geoscientist at IFP Energies nouvelles, his research interest has been on reservoir characterization from outcrop and subsurface data, and closely related domains such as sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, static reservoir modelling and stratigraphic modeling. Since 2007, when he Joined IFP Technologies (Canada) Inc., Tristan has been active in the oil and gas industry through research and consulting projects in Western Canada and abroad. Tristan provides geological expertise and local management support for numerous projects on the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, promoting collaboration with the industry, the academia and governmental agencies. For the last 5 years, is focus has been on unconventional resources and more specifically on the Montney resource play, with many conference and peer-reviewed publications. Tristan hold a U.S patent and as received technical awards from SEPM, AAPG and the GeoConvention. Tristan serves as CSPG General Co-Chair for the GeoConvention 2017, Program Committee member and Session Chair for the SPE Unconventional Resource Conference 2017, Session Chair for the International Meeting of Sedimentology 2017 and Associate Editor for the Bulletin of Canadian Petroleum Geology.
