Biography
Their research focuses on the dynamics of the cerebral cortex, the cerebellum and the basal ganglia. They study the mechanisms underlying the emergence of functional properties of neurons, persistent activity and decision-making, and the emergence of synchronized states in relation to the physiology and pathophysiology of the central nervous system. They approach combines theory (methods derived from statistical physics and dynamical systems theory, numerical simulations) and experience (in-vitro electrophysiology, morphology and anatomy) in a close interdisciplinary collaboration between the theoreticians and the neurophysiologists of the team. They also collaborate with external experimenters in the laboratory on projects involving the”
