Stéphanie Caillé-garnier

Biography

 From 1997 to October 2000, she did her doctorate under the direction of Dr. Stinus. Her work focused on the study of the neurobiological substrates of opiate dependence through the study of the somatic and motivational components of the withdrawal syndrome. In January 2001, she joined the team of Dr. Loren H Parsons in the Department of Neuropharmacology for a postdoctoral fellowship. In October 2005, she joined the "Neuropsychobiology of Disadaptation" laboratory led by Dr. Martine Cador, UMR5541, and she is currently working at UMR5287 - Institute of Cognitive and Integrative Neurosciences of Aquitaine (INCIA). the director is JR Cazalets. She is a member of the "Neuropsychopharmacology of Addiction" team led by Martine Cador, composed of Catherine Le Moine, Françoise Dellu-Hagedorn and Angelo Contarino. She is working on a research project whose general objective is to understand the long-term effects of exposure to various drug abuse, especially heroin or nicotine. In these studies, particular attention is paid to the modulating role of the endocannabinoid system in the effects of these drugs.
