Biography
Research Topics Music, rap and hip-hop culture Identity theories, identity constructions Anthropology of globalization, ethnography of the transnational Anthropology of Africa and the Black Diaspora, Pan-Africanism and Afrocentrism. Historical Anthropology, Archives,Research I did a doctoral thesis in anthropology and sociology at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, which analyzed the social, cultural and identity transformations born in the path of rap reception in Gabon. Thanks to an APRAS allocation obtained in June 2014 and a postdoctoral contract at Labex CAP started in November 2014, I am currently developing post-doctoral research on the construction of the transnational markets of the African world-music and on the patrimonialisation of the initiatory societies through Gabonese music since the 1960s.
