Thesis management: Marc Abélès Location: Research Themes : Political Practices in Haiti Currently researching : Based on several areas of political anthropology carried out between 2004 and 2009 in Port-au-Prince and some provincial towns in Haiti, I develop a research on the relationship between legal nationality / legal Haitian citizenship and its interactions with ascription Haitian identity on a daily basis in Port-au-Prince, among the black middle class, from 2004 to 2009. Alongside a nationality with forms both open (lacunary civil status) and restrictive (constitution) assignment of national identity, ascription, wordplay and reference, according to records ranging from humor to violence. To be a Haitian in everyday life is to be in front of his compatriots. Academic background : -1998-2002: Institute of Political Studies, Rennes (one year at ITESM, Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico).
