Biography
BRONES Sophie Assistant professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture in Versailles (lecturer-researcher), Sophie Brones has been an assistant lecturer at ENSA-Versailles since 2015. She has supported an ethnology thesis (Université Paris Ouest Nanterre, 2010) devoted to the production of heritage and past practices in Beirut, after initial training in history of art and archeology. His current research, at the intersection of ethnography and photographic studies, focuses on archives in Beirut, in particular the photographic archives of the reconstruction, as well as on processes of urban regeneration linked to artistic and cultural activities, in the cities of the Middle East.
