Biography
Fabien Chirot is currently Maître de Conférences (assistant professor) at Université Lyon 1, in the Biological Analysis by Mass Spectrometry group. He received his PhD in Physics at the University Toulouse III in 2007, after experimental works on the nucleation processes, and on the thermodynamics of phase transitions in small atomic clusters. From 2007 to 2008 he worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the group of Pr. von Issendorff at the University of Freiburg (Germany), where he investigated the solvation of an electron in small water clusters using photoelectron spectroscopy. He was recruited at Université Lyon 1 in 2008. Since then he has been in charge of the ion mobility spectrometry activities at ISA, in close collaboration with the group of P. Dugourd (ILM).
