Biography

Magali Ader is a Professor in the department of Stable isotope geochemistry at the institute of physcics of Globe of Paris

Research Interest

My research sits at the intersection of Earth and Life sciences, in the burgeoning field of Geobiology. Using measurements of stable carbon and nitrogen isotope compositions of ancient sedimentary rocks and comparing those of analogous modern geobiological systems, I am contributing to our understanding of how Earth and life interacted through time on both local and global scales. Precambrian paleoenvironments and their modern analogues Isotope fractionation associated with bacterial activity and induced mineralisation Stable isotope monitoring of CO2 reactivity in geological storage sites Post-depositional modifications of the stable isotope and paleomagnetic signal
