Research Interest
Development and refinement of interpretational foundations of new, cutting-edge isotopic tracers to solve long-standing debates in Earth sciences (clumped isotopes thermometry Δ47 and halogens stable isotopes δ37Cl and δ81Br). Geodynamical cycle of volatile elements, halogens in particular (degassing at mid-ocean ridges, behaviour over the alteration of the oceanic crust and cycling through subduction zones and arc volcanism, comparison to meteorites). Volcanic and hydrothermal systems (determination of the source of magmas and their interactions with hydrothermal systems; magmatic degassing, differentiation and assimilation). Fluid-rock interactions and fluid circulations in sediments and crusts Burial diagenesis (determination of the temperature and origin of the circulating fluids, preservation of original signals) Reconstruction of past surface environments on Earth (temperatures and chemical compositions of the ocean over key past environmental crises in Earth history)
