Biography

DONALD E. MOREL, Jr., Ph.D. has been a director of the company since August 2013. Dr. Morel was the former chairman and chief executive officer of West Pharmaceuticals Inc., a manufacturer of components and systems for the packaging and delivery of injectable drugs as well as delivery system components for the pharmaceutical, healthcare and consumer products industries. He served as president of West Pharmaceutical Services in April 2002 and became chief executive officer in June of that year.  He was appointed to the board of West Pharmaceuticals in 2002 and served as the chairman of the Board of Directors from 2003 to 2015. Dr. Morel currently serves on the Board of Directors of Catalent, Inc. and is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Oncologic Hospital of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Franklin Institute and a trustee of Lafayette College. He previously served as a director of Kensey Nash Corporation, a medical device product development and manufacturing company, from March 2010 to June 2012, and was a member of its audit and compensation committees. Dr. Morel received a B.S. in engineering from Lafayette College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in materials science from Cornell University.
