Biography
Andres Larrain studied architecture at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts (UP 8-Paris). After collaborating with architects in Paris, and in particular with G. Jullian de la Fuente for the studies and realization of the complex of the French Embassy in Rabat - Morocco, he continues his career in the field of education, first at the College of Architecture at Cornell University, then at the School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, USA, and at the National School of Fine Arts (UP8 Paris). In 1987 he joined the Jean-Paul Viguier Agency, Jean Francois Jodry and Associates, and then Jean Paul Viguier SA, Architecture, where he participated, or was responsible for numerous projects, including the Industrial Hotel Métropole 19 in Paris, and the Atrium C3D office building in Boulogne Billancourt. He was in charge of the construction of the Tour de Coeur Défense until completion in 2001, and of the Majunga Tower delivered in 2014. Among these projects and studies are the competition for the Granite tower of Société Générale in La Défense, the competition for the restructuring of the Axa tower in La Défense, the study for the rehabilitation of the Aurore tower, development of the marina of Seyne sur Mer. Andres Larrain is currently the project manager of the new Canadian Chancellery in Paris.
Research Interest
Among these projects and studies are the competition for the Granite tower of Société Générale in La Défense, the competition for the restructuring of the Axa tower in La Défense, the study for the rehabilitation of the Aurore tower, development of the marina of Seyne sur Mer.
