Biography
Serving as Vice President Enterprises since 2012 and an Associate Professor in the "Metrology of Simple Systems and Fundamental Testing" team in the Kastler-Brossel laboratory, Stéphane Boucard has been at UPMC since 2000. As part of his research, he is particularly interested in calculating relativistic corrections and the QED in super heavy atoms, and in the high-precision calculation of multi-charged ions or exotic atoms. While preparing his doctorate in physics, obtained at UPMC in 1998, he also became president of SMEREP (cooperative health insurance for students in the Paris region). He is currently president of the UMGP, which groups several cooperative health insurance funds focused on the young adult and is also director of GIE-Health Innovations.
