Biography

Dr. Chantal Parpex, M.D., Ph.D. serves as the Managing Partner and Chairman of Management Board of Innovation Capital SAS and has been its President since 2004. Dr. Parpex joined CDC Innovation in 2004 and focuses on life sciences investments. She serves as an Executive Officer of LES LABORATOIRES SERVIER SAS. Dr. Parpex served at Aventis Inc. She was a Founder of run Bioam. She served as the Managing Director, Managing Partner and President of the Management Board at BioGestion, which she founded in 2000. Dr. Parpex has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry having held executive positions within clinical development, business operations and marketing at firms such as Synthélabo and Servier. She has 10 years experience in the medical sector. From 1985 to 1997, she was with the Rhône Poulenc Rorer group, first as the Development Director at Laboratoires Spécia and then as the Managing Director of the Rhône DPC Europe joint venture. She served as Managing Director of Bioam Gestion. She served as Medical Director of Synthelabo SA. From 1985 to 1997, Dr. Parpex was the Vice President Corporate Marketing at the Rhône Poulenc Rorer group for a range of therapeutic sectors and General Manager of Rhône DPC Europe. Prior to joining Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, she practiced medicine (Rheumatology) in hospital alongside a private practice. She was the Medical Director at Synthélabo. Until 1999, she was a Principal Life Sciences Consultant at the French office of Gemini Consulting Ltd., where Dr. Parpex was in charge of healthcare related matters. She has been a Director of Kayentis, SAS since September 16, 2016. She serves on the Board of Biomodex, BioSerenity, H4D and Wandercraft. She served as a Director of IntegraGen S.A. Dr. Parpex served as a Director of Bioring SA and Novagali Pharma. She served as a Member of Supervisory Board at Novagali Pharma S.A. since September 30, 2003. She served as Director of Cytheris SA. From 2000 to 2005, she has sat on various boards including Inserm Transfert. Dr. Parpex is a member of the INSERM (Institut National de la Santé et de la Reserche Médicale) Biomedical Research Council. She was also an Interne and the Chef de Clinique Assistant of the Paris Hospitals. Dr. Parpex holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Paris, a Medical Degree from the Faculté de Médecine de Paris, France with a specialization in Rheumatology and holds a diploma from the International Programme of General Management at CEDEP-INSEAD, France.
