Dr. Oren Steen

Biography

Dr. Oren Steen is an endocrinologist at LMC Bayview in Toronto, Ontario. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, where he grew up until the age of 12, after which he lived in Hamilton, Ontario. He obtained his Bachelors of Sciences in Life Sciences at Queen’s University in Kingston , Ontario , in 2005. He went on to study medicine at Western University in London, Ontario, graduating in 2009. He completed his core internal medicine training at the University of Toronto in 2012, and subspecialized in Endocrinology and Metabolism at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, completing his training in 2014. In 2013, Dr. Steen won the Dr. John Dupré Resident Clinical Case/Research Project Award for presenting the top clinical vignette poster at the CSEM Annual Professional Conference. He is a 2014 McMaster Resident Research Day Silver Medalist for both his oral presentation and clinical poster. He is also a recipient of the 2014 Hamilton Health Sciences Medical Staff Association Outstanding Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Steen has an interest in all areas of endocrinology, particularly diabetes, pituitary and thyroid disorders.
