Biography
Martin O’Brien is the vice-president and general manager of the Integrated Electrical Systems Division. He has been general manager of the division since 2001, responsible for product vision, development and marketing of software products for design, manufacture and service of complex electrical systems . The resultant products have established clear leadership for Mentor within this domain with the software now adopted by industry leading OEMs and Tier 1 companies worldwide. O’Brien was recruited to Mentor from Tyco Electronics where he was the global sales director. Prior to that O’Brien worked for Raychem Corporation , where he held multiple R&D roles developing high-performance products before transitioning to product management and then product marketing as director for Asia. O’Brien is based in the UK where he earned a Master's degree in Materials Science from Brunel University.
