Biography
The cancer bioinformatics and systems biology team is a newly established computational group applying the methods of large-scale dataset analysis and systems biology to cancer research. We are especially interested in the application of network biology concepts for this purpose. The main themes we want to develop are: personalized medicine; cancer drug mechanism of action, side effects, and repurposing; combined therapies; cancer pathways modeling at multiple scales. We are also interested in the developments of key statistical and mathematical models required by technologies which play an important role in cancer biology investigations, e.g., quantitative mass spectrometry for posttranslational modifications dynamics (phosphorylation, histone acetylations and methylations, etc.) and protein interaction mapping (protein complexes, protein-drug binding, protein-nucleic acid interactions).
