Biography
Hamed joined NEOMA Business School as an Assistant professor of Supply Chain Management in September 2017. He holds a Master's degree in Statistics and a PhD degree in Business Economics from KU Leuven, Belgium. Hamed’s research include simulation optimization (especially using Kriging-based algorithms) and joint assortment and pricing optimization for manufacturing firms. His research appears in IIE Transactions and European Journal of Operational Research. His ongoing work entitled “Assortment and Pricing in Production/Inventory Systems” was among the top three papers in the best student paper award in the 19th international symposium on inventories (ISIR, August 2016, Budapest). Hamed serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several journals including the Journal of the Operational Research Society and European Journal of Operational Research among others. Hamed has been involved in several industrial projects including a forecasting and inventory replinishment project for IMEC (a nanoelectronics company in Belgium) and a stock rationing project for EuroGijbels (a fruit and vegetable distribution company in Belgium).
