Biography
Dr. Tomlin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the California State University Channel Islands Martin V. Smith School of Business. As a consultant to NERA's Labor & Employment Practice, Dr. Tomlin applies statistical analysis to economic models of firm behavior in order to better understand the consequences of this behavior on intellectual property and antitrust matters. He has conducted analyses of IP valuations, hypothetical negotiations, lost profits, reasonable royalties, mergers, labor market practices, alleged price fixing, and numerous aspects of class certification. Dr. Tomlin has worked on cases in the fields of telecommunications, athletics, aerospace, construction materials, eyewear, integrated circuitry design, skilled labor markets, electronics, and fashion.
