Biography

The Doctoral School of Cancerology, Biology, Medicine and Health brings together the majority of the research structures involved in this theme. Thesis students have taken varied backgrounds and are scientists, doctors, pharmacists, engineers. The themes of the PhD Student Teams cover the entire spectrum of cancer research. This diversity is a force in a discipline which, in essence, is multidisciplinary both for clinical practice and for research and whose fields of competence are constantly expanding. This diversity allows everyone to choose a topic of interest and enrich themselves through exchanges with other PhD students and supervisors. There are many career opportunities, and in such an innovative discipline they can only increase. With this in mind, the aim of the Doctoral School of Cancerology, Biology, Medicine and Health is to provide doctoral students with qualifying vocational training in the field of cancerology, on the one hand within the framework of research activities related to preparation of the thesis and, on the other hand, in the framework of complementary courses chosen from the courses delivered by the School of Cancer Sciences by Gustave Roussy, master's degrees from the University Paris Sud / ENS de Cachan, (notably some EU M2 of the Cancérologie course) as well as specific courses organized by the ED or shared teaching with other EDs from Paris Saclay University. The Doctoral School of Cancerology, Biology, Medicine and Health also aims to encourage doctors interested in cancerology to carry out a thesis of sciences in such a way as to train the cadres of the medical research and to promote the translational research which is one of the key elements in the advancement of medicine.
