Alain Cotnoir

Biography

  Alain has held very senior roles in large mining companies and has twenty years of experience in East Africa, North America, South America and Australasia. His experience spans greenfields and near-mine exploration, and mining experience in gold, copper-gold, and base metals (VMS). He has a comprehensive understanding of orogenic & epithermal mineral systems, exploration and project development requirements, open pit mining, methods and techniques. Alain is an accomplished geological mapper (surface and underground) and is very experienced in complex structural mineralised regimes. Supervision and effective training of younger geologists has been a part of his work throughout his career. Alain is a Professional Geologist member of the Australian Mining and Metallurgy Institute, and is perfectly fluent in French and English.
