Biography
René has delivered resource evaluation, training and geological consulting throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania in a wide variety of geological settings and commodities. He has led numerous exploration and mine geology teams in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Ghana, Sweden and Mali. He is the principal author of several Canadian NI 43-101 and JORC compliant resource studies for gold mines in Africa and has assisted clients with exploration programs for these projects and others. René established the RSC New Zealand office in 2008, and specialises in exploration management for gold and base metals, with a strong skill set in resource modelling, grade control, reconciliation, QA/QC and successful sampling. He holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Geology and Tectonics and was at the helm of a successful New Zealand company before founding RSC.
