Alan Main Mr

Biography

Alan Main holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Marketing from Thames Polytechnic in London, and has attended various programs for business school leaders in London, Harvard and Columbia, as well as INSEAD (Asia). A Scottish-born British citizen, Mr. Main has over 30 years of marketing and management experience in the areas of consumer health and medical devices, first acquired at Stafford Miller / Block Drug (now at GSK). He then joined Merrell Dow (now at Sanofi) and then the London Rubber Company. In 1992, he joined Roche Consumer Health and was given increasing responsibilities, particularly in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Asia Pacific. Following the 2004 acquisition of Roche Consumer Health by Bayer, Mr. Main continued to hold key operational roles, such as Asia Pacific and Europe. In 2010, he joined Bayer's Medical Devices business as Global President of Bayer Medical Care. He was appointed to his current position in October 2016.
