Biography
Laurent Attal is of French nationality. He is a medical doctor, dermatologist, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration). Since 2012, he is a director and member of the Sanofi strategic think tank. In 1986, Laurent Attal joined L'Oréal as a sales representative. After a career in the active cosmetics division, he took the Vichy Global Brand Management in 1994. Four years later, he was appointed Managing Director of the active cosmetics division, which includes the Vichy brands, La Roche Posay and Innéov, a joint venture between Nestlé and L'Oréal in nutricosmetics. In 2002, he was appointed member of the Executive Committee of L'Oréal and Director of the pharmaceutical laboratory Galderma, a joint venture between Nestlé and L'Oréal. Between 2005 and 2009, he was President and CEO of L'Oréal USA. Since January 2010, he is Vice-President of L'Oréal, Director General Research and Innovation. Laurent Attal is also a director of the L'Oréal Corporate Foundation.
