Biography
German citizen Stefan Oelrich holds an MBA from the Cologne Chamber of Commerce Business School. He began his career at Bayer AG in Germany in 1992 where he held various management positions and responsibilities in Latin America, Europe and the United States, including Managing Director of Bayer Healthcare in Belgium and France. He was Vice President of Marketing for the Bayer Pharmaceuticals Division in the United States, before being promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Group's US Women's Health franchise. At Sanofi, Stefan Oelrich has led Sanofi's global Diabetes franchise since June 2016. Previously, he was responsible for DCV Europe and Sanofi's coordinator for this region, and was very involved in the second half of 2015 in Establishment of the Global Entity (GBU) Diabetes and Cardiovascular. He was also Managing Director - Germany Switzerland and Austria from 2011 to 2015. He was appointed to his current position in October 2017.
