Biography
After graduation he then joined the oil industry as a mudlogger, subsequently becoming a pore pressure engineer and wellsite geologist before moving into management as training manager. Over the next ten years David gained experience as an operations manager, regional manager (Singapore) and finally general manager of Gearhart Geodata mudlogging group. David founded HRH Geology in 1989 to concentrate upon providing operational geology services in the oil industry. With this in mind HRH Geology created the Gravitas and Winlog suite of operational geology software, as well as the innovative Spectra advanced gas detection system and when coupled with the GeoPlacer wellsite geology placing system can provide a unique wellsite offering to the oil industry. In 2013 HRH Geology won The Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade for continuous growth over six years and in April 2016 gained their second Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade for outstanding growth, achievements of which David is immensely proud.
